One local member of the Krewe of Centaur is doing what she can to bring Mardi Gras goodness to our troops in Afghanistan. Here's how you can help!

According to the Shreveport Times, Stephanie Hays is member of the Krewe of Centaur here in the SBC. One of her good friends, Amy D'Aguair, is the commander of the 528th Engineer Battalion which hosts a local National Guard unit that has been deployed in Afghanistan since the Fall. Amy is planning a Mardi Gras parade for her troops on February 15.

Stephanie has collected about 20 boxes of beads, throws, coins and more to send to the troops. She is looking to send her boxes of good times on Monday, January 26. She believes it will cost her about $300 to ship the Mardi Gras supplies.
