Local School Closed Due To Flu Outbreak

North Caddo Elementary and Middle School in Vivian will be closed the rest of the week due to a severe flu outbreak. Spokeswoman Mary Wood says that roughly 15% of the students at the school are out ill. She also reports several teachers and staff members are sick as well.

At this time, classes are scheduled to resume Monday. Wood says parents need to keep their kids at home if they are sick and running a fever to stop further outbreaks.
