Local Sergeant Surprises Sons at Shreve Island ES After Deployment

Thank you to ArkLaTexHomepage.com for this sweet video!  As a military brat myself, I know what it's like to miss your daddy, even though mine was never deployed or TDY for this length of time.

It was a great day at Shreve Island Elementary School in Shreveport yesterday, Wednesday, February 5, 2020, when Sergeant David McGarrity surprised his sons David and Kristofer for the first time in person after being deployed overseas for the past nine months. It was all happy tears after each of the boys were surprised separately... Then Sergeant McGarrity and his wife Amanda checked the boys out of school early to spend some quality time together.
