A south Louisiana contractor is behind bars after deceiving flood victims for their money. The last thing a flood victim wants to do is feel cheated, but that's exactly what Matthew Morris did to dozens of south Louisiana residents this past August.

Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley said, "He had one of those contracts from hell. We found out that there was gross and obvious and across the board price gouging."

Morris is now facing a plethora of charges including residential contractor fraud, 11 counts of engaging in the business of contracting without authority, and 6 counts of theft of aged persons.

That last charge bothered me (and Sheriff Wiley) the most. He didn't discriminate when it came to who he swindled, including multiple elderly people. Wiley said he found that disgusting, and added, "It takes a physical toll, it takes a mental toll on individuals regardless of their age. It's just an example of greed."
