The nation is watching Louisiana after ten inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail, but one of the escapees' run has come to an end. Five Inmates Caught, Viral Video Shows Fugitive Napping.

Since Friday, May 16, the globe's attention has been on Louisiana following a jailbreak at the Orleans Parish Jail. As of May 21, five of the ten escaped inmates have been apprehended, as well as one jail maintenance worker and two women in connection to the escape.

One viral TikTok video captured the unusual moment one of the fugitives was found. It shows the man sleeping on a public bench the guy behind the camera checks on the assumed inmate, then it jump cuts to the same man, looking incredibly tired, and being questioned by a group of police.

The man in the clip is believed to be one of the five captured inmates, though authorities have not confirmed his identity. Officials have also not verified whether the video actually shows one of the escaped fugitives, leaving the footage unconfirmed for now.

At first glance, the video might seem unbelievable - what fugitive on the run would take a nap in broad daylight? But it turns out this wasn't the only bizarre capture. Kendall Myles, one of the first inmates to be rearrested, was caught after going live on Instagram casually and strolling through the French Quarter. Police quickly tracked him down and placed him in custody.
