Louisiana Man Catches Burglar and Hogties Him
Crime is a problem in New Orleans. Vigilante justice, Batman-style is never advisable, but it seems to have worked well for this guy.
New Orleans resident Eric Hernandez is the Batman in this story. The Louisiana native, came home to find and oddly dressed man in his house rummaging through his things. Hernandez, instead of fleeing the home and calling the police, sprung in to action. Knowing that police response time in NOLA is slow for several reasons, Hernandez was able to detain the would-be thief with what appears to be electrical chords and duct tape.
Once he was able to tie-up the burglar and drag him outside, Hernandez saw the comedy in the situation, and took to social media. In a Facebook post, Hernandez posted pictures and video of the hogtied perp shamefully wallowing in the dirt and eventually being taken away by police.
In the post, Hernandez wrote:
"Nothing like walking in on a burglar and having to tie him up until NOPD hauls him off. I was actually impressed the wait time was only about 90 minutes."
According to the post, the man was squirming around in Hernandez's yard for an hour-and-a-half while waiting on NOPD to arrive. The man was taken away by the police and charged.
