Louisiana Tubing Spot Closed for The Summer After Owners Arrested
Just as the hot and sweaty tubing season is upon us, one of Louisiana's favorite spots has announced that they are not going to be hosting groups of barely-buoyant revelers for the summer after a wild turn of events ended in the owners arrested and charged with sex crimes.
According to a report from WBRZ, Tiki Tubing in Denham Springs will be closed for the entire summer just a week after the couple who owns the business were arrested on separate sex crimes earlier this month.
66-year-old John Fore was reportedly arrested last week and charged with sexual battery involving a juvenile. He was released later that same day after posting a $25,000 bond. Reportedly, this arrest has no connection to the tubing business.
Days later, John's wife Patricia Dianne Fore would be arrested and charged with sexual battery charges for a crime that reportedly involved “rubbing or touching.” She was also released the same day she was jailed after posting a $25,000 bond.
While that news is wild and concerning, the part that affects a state full of tubing hopefuls is what happens to Tiki Tubing this year. Namely, nothing. According to the report, shortly after the owners were arrested a sign stating that the business would be closed for the summer was placed at the entrance. The sign points to "new rules" on the river and "other complications" as reasons for the closure.
