How wild is it that we have dust from the Sahara Desert en route to land in Shreveport-Bossier City next week? Have you ever thought about what's in that dust, Louisiana?

Experts say that people with asthma and/or respiratory issues should stay inside to avoid the additional irritants.

Actually, it's not a bad idea to go ahead and break out your COVID mask because breathing in the contents of a dust cloud with who knows what in it is the last thing we need to be inhaling on top of the heat and pollen that Louisiana likes to dish up on a daily basis.

So, in addition to ‘air you can wear,’ we get dust, too… Dust that has small pieces of pyramids and mummies in it… and camel poop! Why couldn’t this crap have landed in Alabama? It could sit right on top of Bryant-Denny Stadium and no one in Louisiana would complain, but no, it heard all about our southern hospitality and decided to head our way…

I wonder if the Barksdale Bubble has anything to do with it? Are you going to tell me this is some crazy weather phenomenon that just happened to lift a bunch of dust from halfway around the world in AFRICA, then carried it thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean, and plunked it down HERE? Actually, it happens way more often than we realize. In fact, they say 2-3 Saharan dust clouds made their way to the USA last year alone.

I don't know about you, but I'd never heard of Saharan dust clouds before a couple of years ago. However, after the pandemic, nothing is surprising anymore. I will say it creates some incredible sunsets!

On Ancient Aliens, they say the pyramids were built by aliens, so maybe they’re trying to cross-pollinate and meet up with their brethren in some hidden missile silo in the back of the East Res? Then they’ll mysteriously re-form out of all those pieces of pyramid, mummified pharaoh, and camel poop and regenerate into little green men! You never know… It’s no less weird than having dust blow halfway across the world to come for a visit. This is the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night. It’s time for a nap…
