Shreveport’s Festival Plaza was buzzing with Pilot Pride on June 2nd, 2025, as residents gathered for a massive community celebration honoring the LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team. The festivities kicked off at 11:30 a.m. with both the Mayors of Shreveport and Bossier City in attendance, showing a united front for the record-breaking team.
The Pilots made history by winning the 2025 Avista NAIA Baseball World Series, concluding an astonishing 59-0 season. This victory not only marks the Pilots’ first-ever national championship in any sport but also sets the record for the longest win streak in College baseball history.

White House Bound
During the celebration, the team received a monumental surprise. Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, called in to officially congratulate the Pilots and extend a remarkable invitation to the White House.
The White House visit is now confirmed for October 20th. This trip will recognize the LSUS Pilots as the first team in college baseball history to achieve a perfect, undefeated season.
This historic achievement has elevated the university, shined a national spotlight on the entire Shreveport region, and brought immense pride to the Bayou State.
