One of the men arrested in connection with the murder of Shreveport Police Officer Chateri Payne has plead guilty to drug and firearms charges. Glenn Frierson has plead guilty to the charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.

According to the court documents, Shreveport police were searching Frierson's place of employment on May 3rd 2018 and found a handgun and a backpack with methamphetamines at the barber shop where he worked. According to the plea bargain, Frierson admitted to carrying the weapon for protection when he was out making drug deals.

He faces 10 years in prison for illegally possessing a firearm and 20 years in prison for drug distribution. His sentencing date is set for December 11, 2019.

In addition to the charges Frierson just plead guilty to, he is also facing a 2nd Degree murder charge for allegedly participating in the shooting death of Officer Chateri Payne.
