Crowds gathered in Hollywood Wednesday to witness Mariah Carey receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Grammy winner was accompanied by her four-year-old twin sons, Monroe and Moroccan, along with record producer L.A. Reid and director Lee Daniels, who announced during the ceremony that Carey will be guest-starring on Empire, which he co-created.

"Really, you're melting my heart. You're making me cry, and that's why I'm keeping on my sunglasses," Carey told the crowd. "But I cannot thank you enough. This is a huge honor."

Congratulations, Mariah!
