Options are slim when it comes to Shreveporters who are missing golf. This course is just a short drive away!

I love golf; although, I must admit, I'm a horrendous golfer. In fact, when I golf, it's like a combination of cricket and an Easter egg hunt. I love the game though, and I have been severely missing the links ever since COVID-19 restrictions closed all of our public courses here in Shreveport.

I had been playing at a golf course in Waskom, TX, although after the Texas restrictions, I haven't made it back.

This week, a buddy asked if I wanted to join him for golf in Zwolle. I laughed, assuming he didn't realize our golf courses in Louisiana were closed.

Clearly, I was the one that made the mistake.

Cypress Bend golf course in Zwolle, LA is indeed open, and it was well worth the drive. The trip only took about an hour and some change and I was blown away with the course the second I drove into the parking lot.

It's a wonderful, beautiful course, and is just what every golfer missing the sport in Shreveport needs. The 18-hole price tag of just $38 wasn't that bad either.
