My Jocks In The Box Experience [Photos]
As the Jocks In The Box toy drive comes to a close, I can't help but to stand in awe of the results. We honestly lost count of donated bicycles at 200! Thanks to Topps, we had a 40 foot trailer to hold all of the donations, and we filled it up at least twice. I want you to know that when I say we, I mean we as a community. It's an incredibly humbling sight to see what can be accomplished when local businesses, charities, clubs, and individuals all work together for a common goal. Together, we were able to make Christmas magic for over 3,000 families in the Shreveport / Bossier City area.
Personally, it is extremely gratifying to live in a storage building for a week when I can be a part of this amazing event. The best part for me is when a parent brings their child to donate a toy they picked out. Passing along a lesson of giving to your child is the best that life has to offer, in my humble opinion. The amount of times I have seen this over the past week has been truly heart warming.
Thank you a million times for letting me be a part of your miracle!
These are just some of the images I will never forget. If they bring you even a portion of the joy they bring me, you will definitely feel the magic of Christmas.
