Although frightening, the ghosts at the Municipal Auditorium don't seem to want to hurt anyone.

Once home to the Louisiana Hayride, the Municipal Auditorium harbors some secrets within its walls. Rumor has it the building was home to the city morgue during those joyous Hayride years.

Originally built to commemorate the veterans of World War I, the auditorium has since been renovated.

Strange noises have been heard and figures seen throughout the building. One is that of a young girl in a blue dress. It is also said that a woman gave birth in the basement. Many have heard her moans resonate as she relives that night.

Music periodically fills the halls, as well as the sound of a rowdy crowd. Some can hear a ghost shout, “I love Johnny Cash!”

The souls don’t appear to want to harm anyone, but to simply relive the greatest nights of their lives.
