[UPDATE 8:04 p.m.]  According to CBS via WBZ-TV, after the lockdown was lifted, a Watertown homeowner felt he could leave house.  He went outside to check on his property and notices a tear in his boat's winter wrap.


[UPDATE 7:43 p.m.] Authorities are cheering, sources and scanner audio says the suspect is in custody.

 

 

 


[UPDATE 7:35 p.m.] Negotiator is on the scene to talk to the suspect, according to WBZ.

[UPDATE 7:20 p.m.] Homeowner noticed blood near the boat, then called the police.  Police considering bringing in a negotiator, according to WBZ-TV

 


[UPDATE: 7:00 p.m.] The suspect was reportedly spotted by someone who saw him in a boat, according to WBZ-TV reporter Karen Anderson.  They tipped police leading to the current situation

 

[UPDATE: 6:42 p.m.] Here is a satellite image of where the suspect is hiding.  WBZ-TV is reporting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is hiding in the boat in the center of the photo.

[UPDATE: 6:35 p.m.] Police were able to find the suspect using thermal imaging, according to WBZ-AM.

[UPDATE: 6:20 p.m.] Police have cornered the 19-year-old suspect who is hiding in a boat the backyard of a Watertown, MA, house, according to WBZ-TV.

[UPDATE: 10:12 a.m.] The FBI has released a picture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is currently on the run from authorities.

[UPDATE 8:33 a.m.] Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the suspects in the Boston Marathon Bombing, spoke with the AP after his 26-year-old son Tamerlan was killed in a shootout. He claimed his younger son Dzhokhar, the one still on the loose, is a smart, accomplished young man, calling him "a true angel."

"Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the U.S. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here," said the elder Tsarnaev.

[ORIGINAL STORY] There is a manhunt underway in Boston's northern suburbs for one of the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

After the FBI released surveillance photos and video last evening of the two suspects.  The Associated Press reports the two suspects were brothers from Chechnya.

The terrorists robbed a convenience store and then shot a Massachusetts Institute of Technology University police officer.  They injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during their getaway attempt.

One of the suspects was killed and the other is at large.

The Associated Press says law enforcement has identified the surviving suspect as 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, of Cambridge, Mass.

The brothers have been legally living in the United States for over a year.
