After a week where his "Alabama Ban" made national headlines, Parkway Football Coach David Feaster has been relieved of his coaching duties. Feaster is one of the most successful coaches across the Ark-La-Tex, putting multiple trophies in the case, but apparently this national attention overshadowed his work with the team.

Feaster was about to embark on, what lines up to be, one of the greatest seasons in Parkway history. As of right now, next year's Parkway roster contains the #1 College Football recruit in the state of Louisiana, 5-star recruit Terrace Marshall, Jr, as well as one of the top quarterback recruits in the state Justin Rogers.

However, based on the reaction of those two players, and others, on social media today, their participation in Parkway athletics may now be in question. Here are some of the player reactions after today's news:

Perhaps the most interesting part of today's news, is that the "Alabama Ban" appears to have precipitated this move by the school. Which is very odd timing. David Feaster has been very open and public about the lack of assistance he would offer to Alabama recruiters for well over a year. He even publicly discussed it with our own Tim Fletcher on 1130 The Tiger multiple times.

So if this move was based on the "Alabama Ban" in anyway, it wasn't that the ban was in place, it was that national attention was being put on Parkway. Which still seems odd.

We will have to wait and see what comes next. But based on the reactions felt across the Shreveport and Bossier area, this move is not going over well. If Feaster decides he would like to coach somewhere else, I'm confident he would be able to find a spot to land quickly.
