Pod of Dolphins Guard Humpback Mother and Her Calf [VIDEO]
She didn't want to mate, and these dolphins weren't letting the males near her.
Essentially, the dolphins are playing the role of your group of besties not letting you make a bad decision on a drunken night at Big Country. Sometimes, nature can replicate these human interactions, and that's exactly what we see in this awesome viral clip.
The footage shows a female humpback whale, swimming with her young calf.
Swimming around the female, were five large male humpbacks, and they were trying to humpback if ya know what I mean. The mother whale didn't want to mate, though, because it would separate her from her baby, where it would have a difficult time surviving. Somehow, a pod of dolphins realized this and banded together to surround the mother and her calf, to protect them both from the males.
This is truly incredible!
