A recall has been issued in Louisiana for 35,145 pounds of Popeyes gravy products due to possible contamination.

Wbrz.com reports Fairmont Foods Inc. has issued the recall of their ready-to-eat pork and beef gravy products due to possible contamination involving "extraneous materials", specifically "clear pliable plastic".

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service received a report that a "consumer found a piece of the soft pliable plastic in the product" according to WBRZ.com.

As of now, there have been no reports of injury or illness.

"The gravy items were produced on May 2 and shipped to Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen locations in Louisiana. The products subject to recall bear establishment number 'EST. 2WM' inside the USDA mark of inspection."
