It seems Shreveport has lost another restaurant, as Posado's Cafe on Mansfield Road has suddenly closed its doors. Once a bustling and popular Tex-Mex spot, Posado's appears to have followed a pattern seen with many other Shreveport eateries: business slowed, leading to the quiet closure of the once-favored chain. A simple sign on the door now informs customers of its unexpected shutdown.

The note on the door encouraged Posado's customers to get their Tex-Mex fix in Bossier at the Old Minden Road location. This makes the Bossier location the only surviving Posado's in Shreveport-Bossier.

If this story feels very familiar, it's because Shreveport lost the Posado's on East Bert Kouns Industrial Drive in February of 2023. Just like the situation with the Mansfield location, the eatery shut its doors with a simple sign on the door. There was no reason as to why either location closed however, we do know we will miss the free ice cream after every meal.

For those missing their favorite Tex-Mex dishes, rest assured: you can still get your Posado's Cafe fix at their location on 1703 Old Minden Rd in Bossier City.

The recent closure of the Shreveport Posado's, and a growing number of other local eateries raises a pressing question for our community: What is causing so many restaurants in Shreveport-Bossier to close their doors? Is it a decline in customer service across the board? Are we seeing a dip in food quality throughout the city's dining scene?

Conversely, we should ask: what are the perennially packed restaurants doing so right? What essential elements are these struggling establishments missing the mark on? It's a critical discussion, as we all share a common goal: to see businesses not just survive, but truly thrive in Shreveport-Bossier. Understanding these dynamics is key to fostering a vibrant and sustainable culinary landscape for everyone.
