The thriller "Prisoners", starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhall, debuted at No. 1 in this weekend's box office with an estimated $21.4 million.

Last week's No. 1, "Insidious: Chapter 2", fell to second place with $14.5 million, while "The Family", starring Robert DeNiro, came in third with $7 million.
