Hollywood-Level Hair & Makeup Training Comes to Shreveport

Prize Fest has become one of the most unique festivals in America, and Shreveport is lucky enough to be the home base. This festival is a creative competition and festival that takes over Shreveport, Louisiana, featuring film, food, music, and comedy with huge cash prizes and other awards.

Prize Fest Makes a Huge Impact in Shreveport

Prize Fest is Now Helping Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists in Shreveport

Northwest Louisiana hair stylists and makeup artists can now jump in on the goodness of Prize Fest. The Prize Foundation announced a "Hands-on Hair and Makeup for Film Production Workshop". This workshop is all part of an ongoing Film Prize University workforce development initiative. The immersive Hair & Makeup Workshop will give artists a look into the world of film and television production. Although many makeup artists and hairstylist might think this is what they want to do, this gives them hands-on experience, working with live actors, lights, and cameras, while learning essential techniques and protocols that set film production apart from traditional salon work.

Eva Styles Will Lead the Immersive Hair & Makeup Workshop in Shreveport

Eva Styles is a licensed hairstylist, makeup artist, and educator with over a decade of experience in the beauty and entertainment industries. Styles' has some major productions under her belt like Emancipation (starring Will Smith), A24’s Iron Claw, Disney’s Secrets of Sulphur Springs, Hulu’s Iron Mike, and Peacock’s Queer as Folk.

The all-day Hair and Makeup workshop will be held at LSU Shreveport on Saturday, March 22nd. You can sign up for the free workshop by clicking here. Although this workshop is free, the space is very limited. Priority will be given to those who hold a cosmetology license or are actively pursuing their credentials through a cosmetology institution.
