Big news from England today. Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for Covid. Buckingham Palace has issued a statement saying the 95-year-old Queen “is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.” The British Press Association reports the Palace has also said the Queen “will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”

This news follows word last week that Prince Charles tested positive. His wife, Camilla also tested positive for Covid.

The news about the Queen’s diagnosis comes just a few weeks after Britain celebrated her Platinum Jubilee of 70 years on the throne.

The Queen has her own doctors on hand 24/7 and they will be taking care of her and monitor her conditions. No information has been released about her treatment protocol as this news is just being revealed.

Reports from the palace indicate the Queen has been fully vaccinated. She reportedly spent some time with Prince Charles on February 8 for a palace event. He tested positive a few days later, but he has made a full recovery.
