Look what Bow Wow started. A Saudi Arabian soccer player is facing jail time for dabbing during a match. Yes, you read that correctly.

According to the Inquisitr, the incident happened during a recent King’s Cup match. In video that has surfaced from the game, the unnamed Al Nojoom player greets another man, who attempts to give him a high-five. Instead, the approaching player cranks the dab. This appears to draw scoffs from the commentator, who seems to be repeating "No" after seeing the gesture.

If you are wondering what all the fuss is about, the Saudi Arabian National Committee for Combating Drugs is against the dance, and think it has ties to drug culture. The committee’s president has even labeled the dab a “harmful influence on youth” and has warned “those who promote it in public events or on social media will face consequences,” the Saudi Gazette reports.

The government takes this stuff seriously. Jailing the soccer player would not set a precedent, as famous Arabian singer and TV host, Abdallah Al Shahani, was arrested by Saudi authorities after video surfaced of him dabbing onstage last August.

Seriously, while this may not be Shad's fault, he is one of the people who famously put it out in the ether that the dance originated as mimicking people who coughed after taking bong rips of dab. Someone needs to tell the people in S.A., the dab been dead.
