Shopping Is The Worst

It is safe to say that SNL got it right in their recent parody on woman's clothing commercials.

We get sucked into the suave and soothing voice that tells us we are special and compliments us. The commercial speaks to our inner securities and tells us what we want to hear. We are strong and fierce. We don't take crap from anyone because we are boss. We rock whatever we wear and we are gorgeous unique women.

Well we all know that shopping in any clothing store don't reflect on their commercials. Shopping is not a magical experience. There isn't a moment when you twirl in slow motion. I mean, I would go shopping more often if I twirled in slow motion.

But lets be honest with ourselves. Shopping sucks. Clothes aren't going to fit everyone the same and trying to find an outfit that compliments your style and body type can almost be a nightmare. I have lived the nightmare of walking out of a store without buying anything and being emotionally drained from the disappointment. Heck, I avoid shopping.

Ugh! I am so done with clothing commercials.
