Cowboy Mouth Hits Beerfest in Downtown Shreveport

Today is the day! It is officially my favorite event of the entire fall, and Shreveport’s version of Oktoberfest, Beerfest, is happening in Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport.

Get ready for a beer lover's paradise! It’s going to have incredible music, great food, and enough cold drafts to make you forget all about summer. Here is your essential Know Before You Go guide for Saturday, October 18th, so you don't miss a single sip or show.

Know Before You Go: Tickets and Tastings (2:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

The Beerfest gates are open from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM! If you haven't bought your tickets yet, here’s what you need to know about getting in today and experiencing the fun.

$20 General Admission: This gets you access to all the music, the tempting lineup of food trucks, games, six special Oktoberfests on Draft, plus wine and other options.

$65 Tasting Ticket (2:30 PM - 5:00 PM): This is the ultimate ticket! It includes general admission and gives you the chance to sample over 100 beers plus delicious small bites from multiple local restaurants. If you want to explore the world of craft beer, hurry the tasting portion ends promptly at 5:00 PM!

The Main Stage Lineup and Unmissable Competitions

Beerfest is more than just sampling; it’s an all-out party with an entertainment schedule packed from start to finish. We are talking about non-stop action, so plan your day around these times!

The day started with music from Chris Gates at 2:00 PM, but the fun continues with the high-stakes Men & Women’s Stein Hold Competition at 3:00 PM. We get more music from 8 Track at 3:30 PM, but the competitive spirit keeps rolling with the hilarious Keg Rodeo at 4:15 PM and the unforgettable BEERlympics at 5:00 PM.

The grand finale begins with the Best Dirndl & Lederhosen competition at 5:20 PM get your traditional gear ready, immediately followed by the main event: the incredible Louisiana legends, Cowboy Mouth, hitting the stage at 5:30 PM!
