Shreveport-Bossier’s Best Restaurants for Mother’s Day
Is Mom on your mind yet? Mother's Day is the biggest day for dining out all year and that's not expected to change anytime soon.
Local restaurants are gearing up for a big day on May 12th as we honor Mom.
According to a new survey from the National Restaurant Association, 34 percent of all adults plan to celebrate Mother's Day by dining out. That means approximately 87 million adults across America are expected to visit restaurants for the special occasion.
It's her day to rest and relax and let everyone else do the work. But you should get started now to make sure you'll get a table at your favorite dining location.
Many local restaurants will have special offers just for Sunday. So you might want to do a little digging to see what's the best deal for your Mom. But do plan to wait for a table at most of the biggest spots in town.
“We expect Mother’s Day to once again be the busiest restaurant day of the year as families honor the tireless efforts of mothers across the country. Restaurants remain a place for families to come together to celebrate special occasions, like this day of recognition,” said Hudson Riehle, Senior Vice President of Research for the National Restaurant Association.

This is a beautiful restaurant and you will find amazing food in a charming setting. I love starting the meal off with lolli-pop lamb chops or crab bisque. These are both great choices. For the entree, you almost have to get one of the spectacular steaks. The ribeye is my favorite. But I also like the slow roasted prime rib. It's mouth watering. It might be too late to land a table for Mothers Day at Mabry House which is one of the finest restaurants in Shreveport. You will find great seafood. The swordfish is spectacular!
