Shreveport Named as One of The Most Fun Cities
A new study named 182 of America's most fun cities, and Louisiana's Shreveport made the list.
For a few years now the personal finance company WalletHub has studied which American cities are the most fun, based on 65 different factors like fitness centers per capita, average movie ticket price, average business hours for clubs, etc.
Ratchet City Has Fun
Shreveport landed at an overall rank of 116 out of 182 different cities considered to be the most fun in America. While Shreveport isn't the most fun of these cities, coming in in the bottom half of all 182 cities, Shreveport was actually one of the more affordable fun cities. With a spot as the 52nd most affordable of all the cities considered.
Whatever research WalletHub did to find Shreveport's score for entertainment and recreation, they did wrong. Shreveport landed at 153rd out of 182 cities when it came to entertainment. Clearly, they missed the rich culture of Shreveport, live music, casinos, Prize Fest, the Red River Revel, Geek'd Con, mardi gras, and so many other live events that keep us entertained.
When it came to nightlife Shreveport fell behind in 99th place, which could easily be fixed if we got WalletHub's researchers out to the Sand Bar for just one night.
While Shreveport wasn't the least fun city on this list, WalletHub clearly didn't see us as having enough fun to follow whatever roads 50 Cent had been down that led to Shreveport.
Pearl City, Hawaii had the displeasure of being ranked the least fun on the list of the most fun cities. Unsurprising to many the most fun place in America was... drumroll please... Las Vegas, Nevada.
