Shreveport Police Make 3 DWI Arrests in 2 Hours
In the early morning hours of March 24th, 2023 Shreveport Police Patrol officers made three DWI arrests.
The first was at 3:10 a.m. when officers contacted Brandon Bates (1-24-82) as he was reported driving 79 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. As officers spoke to Bates, he was reported to have slurred speech and smelled of the odor associated with an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The second occurred at 4:30 a.m. as officers contacted Barry White (8-19-88). White was reported found asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle. The vehicle was running and no longer on the roadway. He was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, as well as possession of Marijuana.
The third arrest came after officers contacted Alexia Jackson (12-4-96) at 5:09 a.m. Jackson was observed by officers driving a vehicle with only three wheels. As officers approached, she was reported intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
