Shreveport’s Next Challenge? Texarkana’s Wild Pickle Fest!
From the zesty battles of Taco Wars to the crawfish craze of Mudbug Madness and the sophisticated sips of Cork, Shreveport is known for its epic culinary and beverage festivals. Yet, a new contender has emerged in Texarkana that could inspire Shreveport to elevate its unique event offerings: Pickle Fest Texarkana. This inaugural "pickle party" promises a one-of-a-kind celebration for all pickle enthusiasts.
Mark your calendars for September 13th and head to Front Street Festival Plaza in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas, for a truly pickle-packed festival! Enjoy a beer garden, live music from three bands, and the South's most unique pickle creations. From Deep-Fried Pickles to Pickle Egg Rolls, Cotton Candy Wrapped Pickles, and Pickle Backs, this event promises an epic experience for every pickle enthusiast.
The pickle vendors will be there with pickle-themed merch to pickle items you never knew you needed, so this is the perfect time to Christmas shop for the pickle overs. There will even be a Pickle Pet Parade and the Dress Your Pet Like a Pickle Costume contest.
There will be a ‘Pickle Your Pickle’ Canning Competition too. There will even be a pickle juice drinking contest and a pickle juice in a stein holding contest, basically, you see who can hold their brine the longest. The event is free for all and starts at 10:00 a.m. and goes until 5:00 p.m.
I think the pickles that the crew at Dripp Hot Chicken in Shreveport make are some of the best pickles I have ever had in my life, They need to participate in this, their pickles need to be discovered.
