Smitty’s Pizza Announces New Location in Shreveport

Southern Hills Was Home to Some of the Best Pizza in Shreveport.

Smitty's Pizza has been making some of the most delicious pizzas for over 40 years, but their time in the beloved neighborhood came to an abrupt end. Smitty's on Mansfield took to their Facebook page for the big announcement that they had to move locations. Several fans of the Shreveport pizzeria were left in the dark on where this spot would move.

Their Facebook page started off by saying "Smitty’s Pizza will soon be relocating to another location to be determined, which will be closer to the middle of Shreveport. (We will announce once it has been confirmed). The current owner of our current location has chosen to sell the building."

Smitty's Pizza went on to explain that the owner of the embroidery business next door passed away, and that side of the building had been empty for some time. After that, the landlord wanted to sell. According to the Facebook post, there is going to be a new business moving into that location.

"Southern Hills has been very kind to us and we will miss it and everyone from that area that has supported us. We also hope that they will still come visit us at our new location." Smitty's claims that nothing will change when it comes to Smitty's, the only thing changing is the location. The crew at Smitty's wanted to address rumors that they have heard circulating all over town and claim that the relocation could happen in the next month and a half.

Smitty's Has Announced Their New Location is an Old Pizza Hut Building.

Smitty's claims their new location is 2525 Southside Drive right off Mansfield Road. They claim that they will be staying in South Shreveport for a long time and so many Smitty Pizza fans are elated. Now we all wait patiently for the opening date.
