Immediately After a Winter Storm, Another Comes For Shreveport
Just about a week ago, the forecast brought freezing temperatures and a possibility of snow in Shreveport. Sadly, not much snowfall was seen. But just a week after that winter storm passed, a new one has set its sights on Shreveport and could bring snowfall.

Monday Night Could Bring Snow to Shreveport
At the time of writing the forecast for Shreveport, the National Weather Service predicts that Monday will bring a high temperature of 35 degrees, and an overnight low of 22 degrees with 20% of snow showers. Tuesday also brings a 30% chance of snow with a high of 32 degrees.
Of course, this forecast could change between the time of this writing and Monday but as it stands right now next week will be the coldest we've seen in Shreveport this winter season.
How to Stay Prepped for Winter Weather: Prevent Pipe Freezes
With the weather dropping down to freezing temperatures next week it's vital that we prepare and safeguard our living space so that we don't have to wake up to freezing water filling your house. Since temps will be as low as 32 degrees the water in your pipes can freeze into solid ice, which can create buildups of pressure that will burst your water pipes. The simple way around a pipe freeze will add a bit to your water bill but nowhere near as much as the price of a new sink, simply set your faucets to drip a repeating stream overnight so that water can continue to flow before it can freeze.
It might seem simple but every year we have a freeze in Shreveport at least one Facebook post makes the rounds of someone who unfortunately woke up to an in-home swimming pool.
