This local hotspot felt like it had every single vitamin and supplement imaginable, making the journey toward healthier choices so much easier. And we all appreciate fantastic customer service, right? Their absence will undoubtedly leave a significant void in our community.

The owner of Sunshine Health Market, Jordan, shared the difficult news: "Shortly after hitting our 6 years of business as Sunshine Health Market, we will be closing our doors permanently 8/31/25."

Jordan elaborated on the challenging decision, citing the dramatic shift in the retail landscape. She emphasized how local "mom and pop" stores like Sunshine simply can't compete with the dominance of "big guys" and vast online marketplaces. "Retail has changed drastically during my time at Sunshine. Brick and mortar stores have an uphill battle," Jordan explained, expressing a hope that other local businesses "survive against the odds." She passionately urged the community: "I want to encourage you all to support businesses that support our community."

Despite the somber news, there's a silver lining for loyal customers. Sunshine Health Market is offering a final opportunity to shop their inventory. "While this chapter ends, we invite you to visit us one last time before we close our doors permanently. We will be liquidating our inventory and contents until our final day of business," the announcement stated. Sunshine Health Market will officially cease operations on August 31st.

From the bottom of her heart, Jordan extended immense gratitude to her customers. "I want to thank every single person that walked through our doors for being an integral part of Sunshine’s history and a part of my personal journey. It has been my greatest honor and privilege to serve you," she shared. She concluded with a powerful plea, echoing her earlier sentiment: "Please continue to: Shop Small and Shop Shreveport!"
