A Shreveport Sushi Favorite Makes Grand Return

Shreveport Has Slim Pickings When It Comes to Sushi.

So when it comes to great sushi spots we all do our best to keep them busy. One popular Sushi spot that always seemed to be busy whether it was lunch or dinner was Sushi-Gen. So many of my friends swear it's one of the best places for sushi.

Sushi-Gen Caught Fire in February of 2023 and So Many Shreveport Residents Were Devastated.

Sushi-Gen is located on Line Avenue and on February 9th several people saw smoke break out. It wasn't long before the community realized it was Sushi-Gen that had caught fire and was heavily damaged. Sushi-Gen has been feeding the community for over 13 years. Sushi-Gen was set up temporarily at the empty Sonic building down Line Avenue.

The Good News is That Sushi-Gen is Back in Their Old Location and the Place is Looking Better Than Ever.

It didn't take long for the place to be filled with eager sushi lovers. My friends and I showed up at 11:00 a.m. for lunch and by the time we left the place was packed. It is safe to say Shreveport has missed Sushi-Gen.

Sushi-Gen took to their Facebook page to announce they were open and ready for business.
