With the first rain in about 3 weeks, the Ark-La-Tex has been mired in somewhat of a minor drought, but this morning's downpour is bringing some much needed relief.

However, that relief has come with a few problems of it's own.  With the lightning strikes and heavy downpour from this morning, scores of people have found themselves without power.  In fact, at one point this morning, according to Swepco.com, more than 20,000 customers were without power.

As of this writing, at 9:08 am on Tuesday, June 5, Swepco is still showing that 4,397 homes are still without power.
