T-Pain has been delivering chart-topping hits for nearly a decade with the help of Auto-Tune. But in 2014, the singer-producer shocked the world when he performed a few songs acoustically without using Auto-Tune for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.

Inspired by his Tiny Desk concert, T-Pain has announced dates for his "Acoustic Tour." The six-city trek will feature him performing stripped-down versions of his classic songs.

"I wanted to do something different for you guys," he wrote on Instagram. "Performing some of my favorite songs in a way you’ve never seen or heard."

T-Pain’s tour will begin in October and will hit intimate venues in San Francisco, Calif., Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston and Washington D.C. Artists Smino and Felly are the opening acts in select cities.

"The love and respect I've received from my NPR performance has not only shown a different side of me to fans, but it also has introduced me to a whole different set of fans," he told NPR Music about his upcoming trek. "All I see on social media is how all my fans want to see this in person, live, with their own eyes."

Tickets for T-Pain's "Acoustic Tour" will go on sale this Friday (Aug. 25) at 10AM via tpaintour.com.
