Your pet could be royalty for the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux's 20th annual Pet Parade!

The 'animal krewe' of Barkus and Meoux revealed their royal court for their 20th year yesterday, which included K945's Ginger as 'Duchess of Furry Friends' and Bristol's husband Keith as King XX!

It's going to be a 'PAWSOME' event this Saturday at the old Reeve's Marine in Bossier City!

The Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, better known as the 'animal krewe' in the Ark-La-Tex, have set dates for their events for the coming Mardi Gras season!

Drive organizer Tresa Frye estimates that as many as half of the homeless across the ArkLaTex have pets with them and, in fact, are their only companionship.

Northwest Louisiana's Krewe of Barkus and Meoux is known as the 'animal' krewe, but they prefer to be called a 'cause with a krewe.'

This Sunday is The Barkus and Meoux Annual Luncheon at Elderado 11:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
