The world doesn't understand horse people. They think we're crazy... and maybe we are. After all, who can get passionate over an inanimate ball? It's the heart of the sport that comes through and horses are all heart.
I am so freaking excited for this weekend! My big guy, Paisano and I have qualified for the championship this weekend at Holly Hill Farm with Tri State Dressage Society! The best part about it is that THE Sally O'Connor will be judging on Saturday and will be offering a clinic for registered horses and their riders Sunday and Monday...
Last night at the NLEA board meeting at Lucky Palace (my fav!), the subject of yoga for equestrians came up. Now, I know a bunch of my dressage buddies get together on Tuesday nights for yoga/pilates to help improve their riding and health, but this is taking it one step further... It's yoga on horseback!
The London Olympic 2012 games are on and I've spent the weekend glued to Live Extra on my iPad. Would it kill someone to air the equestrian portion live on TV?
Oh my! Dressage is the sport of the Summer according to Stephen Cobert and his Colbert Nation... According to Yahoo! Sports, Equestrian is the hardest event to master at the Summer Olympics and now, now we have line dancing horses. SMH
I've always thought the Olympics were magical. Yes, I'm one of those people that is glued to the TV during the Olympics. There's just something so GRAND about being chosen to represent your country in your respective sport in front of the entire World! I (you probably guessed this) am a fan of Olympic Equestrian sports. Well we have two Olympians in town this weekend!
Yes, I'm aware this my second horse post of the day but you've gotta see this to believe it! Anyone who has any experience will be amazed! Bent Jensen is AMAZING! I love the Wiggle!
I'm totally excited! This Saturday marks the first local dressage show of the year with the Tri State Dressage Society and I'll be competing with two horses!
