Tonight, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, a number of areas of Bossier Parish will join Shreveport and scores of other cities to celebrate "National Night Out"

Bossier Sheriff’s Office deputies will be out and about meeting residents.

The applications are available at the sheriff's north and south substations or the Patrol Office at 4910 North Market Street, Shreveport.

Though we have seen no official word from Caddo Parish, Bossier City or Bossier Parish, one can only assume they will observe the occasion on the same date

October is approaching and neighbors are once again being invited to come together for our annual “National Night Out” against crime.

Just like everything else, we do things a little differently here in Shreveport.

The first Tuesday in October is National Night out in our area. National Night Out has been taking place for many years, and was started to bring communities closer together to combat distrust and crime in neighborhoods.
