Recent changes in Louisiana laws regarding physical discipline have left many parents unsure of whether their kids can or can't be paddled at school.

One new law that went into effect on January 1st will make it illegal for public schools to suspend students in 1st - 5th grade for "willfully defying teachers or administrators."
