In the midst of Shark Week, I was reminded of the time a guy caught a 6 foot long, 135 pound shark in Red River. Yes, in fresh water right here in Louisiana!

This dude is crazy! I saw Jaws when I was a kid, so that makes me an expert in sharks. This guy is risking life and limb trying to drag this shark off the beach and back to the ocean! I mean it's nice that he's trying to save the life of a creature that's living. But dang dude, you should watch Jaws, forreals.

An extreme shark encounter was inadvertently caught on tape by Orlando Sentinel photographer Jacob Langston while he was filming a group of surfers at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. A four-foot spinner shark suddenly emerged from the water and did a barrel roll over an unsuspecting person. Totally gnarly, bro!
