Teen Charged in Stabbing of His Mom and Her Boyfriend

A 19-year-old man is locked up today suspected of stabbing his mother and her boyfriend.

Sheriff Steve Prator says deputies were called to the southwest part of Caddo Parish at 7:15 p.m. Friday evening.  A call came in from a home on Still Meadow in the Spring Ridge area. A woman was badly cut with a knife. Medics were treating Michelle Wright and 44-year-old Allen Meshell. Deputies learned both had allegedly been stabbed by Wright's son, Dustin Eschenbach.

Wright was taken to University Health with critical injuries. Meshell was treated at the scene. Patrol deputies found Eschenbach nearby at a relative's house. He was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery.

No information has been released yet about what sparked the standing. Deputies are continuing to investigate this family attack.
