The Miami Hurricanes Will Literally Be Wearing Trash Against LSU
Ok, saying they're wearing trash might be a little extreme but in their opening game against LSU the Miami Hurricanes have teamed up with Adidas to make recycled jerseys. The jerseys are apart of a new line of jerseys called parley which uses trash from the oceans as their main material. The new jerseys are made up of around 70% of fishing nets and other waste from the ocean.
The Miami Herald says that the team loves the idea with head coach Mark Richt saying in a press release “Our players and staff are excited to wear the new adidas Parley jerseys and gear for our season opener. We’re also excited that adidas and Parley are teaming up with UM to help promote sustainability around the world,”
The Miami Hurricanes will wear the jerseys when they take on LSU in the season opener Sunday, September 2nd in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
