This Year’s Autumn at the Arboretum Theme is Charlie Brown
And it's totally worth the road trip this Fall.
It's time to get those Fall activities on the calendar. There are so many things to enjoy during the upcoming season that if you don't plan ahead, you will miss out on most of it. One thing that is definitely on my list is the Dallas Arboretum. I've been in the Spring for their afternoon tea, but I'm ready for their Fall display.
Especially since this year's theme is "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved the Peanuts gang. These lovable characters tend to pop up around every major holiday, but especially during these next few months. My favorite character has always been Linus. Although he still carries his safety blanket, he is really quite wise.
Well, maybe not when we camps out in a pumpkin patch all night waiting for the Great Pumpkin.
This year, the Arboretum will delight in Linus' whimsy with its Charlie Brown display. The festival, in its 14th year, will open on September 21 and remain open until October 31. On display will be more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. And maybe, just maybe there will be the "Great Pumpkin."
For Peanuts lovers like me, you'll enjoy seeing Snoopy's dog house, Lucy's advice booth, Schroeder's giant piano and more.
