These songs typically get a boost around this time of the year.

There is a pretty good chance that you're enjoying a four-day weekend this weekend. When I first looked at the calendar and saw the Fourth of July was a on a Thursday this year, I was so bummed. However, taking Friday off meant more time off.

Needless to say, the holiday festivities are most likely still going on today.

Each year as Independence Day rolls around, we find ourselves looking for those super patriotic songs to add to our playlist. These songs help set the tone for the celebrations. They also tend to give us a sense of pride for our nation. This is why they tend to spike around the holiday.

The songs that receive the most spikes around the Fourth are...

Ray Charles "American the Beautiful"

Toby Keith "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue"

James Brown "Living in America"

Granger Smith (a.k.a Earl Dibbles Jr.) "Merica"

Toby Keith "American Soldier"
