Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Large Area

Severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Caddo, Bossier, Webster, DeSoto, Red River Parish & Panola, Shelby Co until 7:15pm.

Large hail and 60+mph winds are likely with this storm.

Hail has been reported in the Longstreet and Waskom area as large as golf balls.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the entire region until at least midnight.

As many as 45 thousand Swepco customers are without power this evening.

Also, a flash flood warning has been issued for Caddo, Bossier, Desoto and Red River until 9:30pm. Initial reports indicated I-20 had some high water in a few spots. Shreveport has gotten more than 2 inches of rain in just one hour.

State Police urge you to stay off the roads if at all possible.
