Twitter Employee Deactivates President Donald Trump’s Account
For 11 minutes, the social world stood still.
Around 6 p.m. Twitter users noticed that the President's Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump) was gone. It is common knowledge that this Twitter account is Trump's main outlet when it comes to getting information out to the people, usually in an unfiltered fashion.
Many of the President's critics (and even some of his supporters) have frowned upon his Twitter habits, and for a full 11 minutes it seemed as if the social world held their breath while Trump's Twitter was deactivated.
About an hour after the account went ghost Twitter offered somewhat of an explanation, calling the deactivation "human error" from an employee.
They later offered up more information, revealing that the employee deactivated Trump's account on their last day.
At the time of this post, Trump's official Twitter account is full steam ahead.
