NBC Dallas Fort Worth reports Boosie Badazz was indeed shot Saturday afternoon at the Big T Plaza on Village Fair Drive in Dallas. Police say they responded to shots being fired in the area just north of Ledbetter around 2:00pm. Officers reported those involved had cleared the area when they arrived on the scene. A police report stated officers got a tip that a possible victim from the shooting arrived at the Parkland Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Turns out, the alleged victim was Louisiana rap legend, Boosie Badazz. Police went to the hospital to question the rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, but he refused to talk to officers. According to the police report, the 38-year-old rap star was "uncooperative and refused to give officers any information about who, what, or where he was shot." At last word, sources said Boosie's wound was not life-threatening, yet it is not clear if he is still receiving care at the hospital.

NBC News 5 reports Boosie was reportedly in Dallas to attend a vigil for Mo3, a young rapper who was killed last Wednesday. Melvin Noble, 28, was gunned down after trying to run from a shooter on Interstate 35 E. For reasons unknown, police say a gunman approached Noble's vehicle on foot. The rapper tried to escape by leaving his vehicle and running from the scene. He was shot several times and died of his injuries at a hospital shortly afterward. So far, no arrests have been made and authorities have not announced any persons of interest or suspects. Both shootings are under investigation, and police haven't said whether or not the two shootings were connected.

Meanwhile, our condolences go out to the family and friends of Melvin Noble. We send our heartfelt prayers Boosie and hope he has a speedy recovery.
