Verizon Offering Free Robocall Blocking
I recently switched to Verizon from another carrier. Within the first couple days, I received three calls with the caller ID reading "Potential Spam," and one that read "Robocall." I had ported my number, so spammers obviously haven't lost track of me. I'm sure you also find these call a total nuisance. Verizon is reportedly rolling out a free robocall blocking app in the next few days (end of March), according to Forbes. They currently offer an app for $2.99. The current app compares calls to a huge list of known spam numbers. The list is continually updated. The new app will use a technology called "Shaken/Stir" to check the originating number against the on your caller ID...YAY!!!
