Another month, another WalletHub survey shining a negative light on the state of Louisiana.

It feels like studies or reports by WalletHub always paint Louisiana in a negative light. Don't get me wrong, I love what WalletHub does and respect the work they put into their studies, but man, you'd think Louisiana is the second-worst city in America, Second to only Alabama of course. However, you and I both know Louisiana isn't nearly as bad as some of these studies make us seem, still, it's my duty to share their results with you when I come across them!

This week, I received an email from WalletHub alerting me of their findings. WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 24 key metrics in an attempt to find the worst state for women.

These metrics included unemployment rate for women, share of women in poverty, female life expectancy, share of women-owned businesses, among others.

After average the findings from all 24 metrics, WalletHub concluded that Louisiana came in dead last... 51st. Even behind the District of Columbia.

Naturally, I can't endorse their finding as I love Louisiana and can't imagine a world where 49 states and the District of Columbia can give women a better life than Louisiana. Then again, I am not a woman, so maybe my opinion is irrelevant here. What do you think? Women, leave a comment on this article or our Facebook and let us know how accurate you think this report is!
