    Bugs and Brews Festival

    Gather up your friends and family and join in the fun at Louisiana Downs this Saturday from 11 am - 10 pm. $5 gets you into the party and you'll enjoy live music, get to browse plenty of vendors, and check out a cornhole tournament. Plus, organizers say they have all of the crawfish and beer you could possibly consume.

    Barksdale Market

    The new Barksdale Market opens this Sunday and will open every Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm on Barksdale Blvd in front of Bedrock Academy through June 18th. The market features free admission, free parking, is leashed pet friendly and has indoor seating.

    Chimp Haven Discovery Day

    Twice a year, Chimp Haven opens to the public for their Discovery Day giving folks a rare glimpse of the habitats where 300+ retired chimps live and play. This Saturday, from 9 am to 2 pm, experts from Chimp Haven will share all about their special residents. Tickets are $10 each and must be purchased on Chimp Haven’s website.

    Downtown Shreveport Plant Swap

    The Downtown Shreveport Plant Swap is this Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm at Shreve Station. Admission is free and the station will be filled with people who have brought plants, pots, compost, seeds, and garden art to sell, swap or give away.
